Short Tour Description

After a short introduction of the Colosseum from outside enter the most iconic roman building without waiting in line, where gladiators and exotic animals died to entertain the Romans. Reach the second level and learn how the Emperors decided of the life or death of the loosers.
Pass by the Triumphal Arch of the Emperor Constantine, still intact, and enter the Roman Forum, the real heart of Rome for centuries, to admire the triumphal arches of Titus and Septimius Severus and walk along the Via Sacra, the main street where once were held festivals and triumphal processions and where the Vestal Virgins lived and kept the Sacred Fire constantly burning. Know more about Julius Caesar’s life and death, discovering his Temple and the Curia Julia, the Senate House. Visit the amazing Church of St. Maria Antiqua, called the “Sistine Chapel of the Roman Forum” to finally climb up to the Palatine Hill, where Romulus and Remus were suckled by the she-wolf and struggled to get the leadership and found the city of Rome. Reach the House in which the Emperor Augustus lived and ruled the most powerful empire of western world, only allowed to a few visitors a day!
